The Wii in and of itself

Postby MaFuJon on Sun Feb 17, 2008 10:21 pm

Here I thought it'd be cool to chat about the Nintendo Wii and from here can branch out into other topics of games, but keep this about the Wii console itself and all the expansions that will be no doubt made for this wonderful piece of technology.

I'm basically with Cayenne on this one, really--it's a wonderful device, but there's nothing interesting to do with one's Mii. Something on the order of Street Fighter would really be appreciated.

Also, as far as I can tell, I'm the first person to post. Yay!

aside from Wii sport and Wii play the miis have no function. On another topic. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is an AMAIZING game can't reccomend it enough. though it's one of the few games that uses the remote as a controler.

Super Smash Bros Brawl is the best game i have EVER played!!!! I am entirely convinced it will always be the best. I thought nothing could beat The original Super Smash Bros 64........ I stand DEFINITELY corrected.

Without a doubt, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the best game on the Wii, and I daresay the best game ever written. Spring Break's coming up, and I am sooo psyched.

I've found that, while Pikachu is fun to play, I'm best with Fox once I come to terms with his L/R+B move--I've dashed off the edge and fallen to my doom more times than I care to admit. Also, the tank is pretty cool. What about you guys? Favorite/good characters at all?

Kirby... KIRBY.... Kirby is EASILY the best character ever. He can steal peoples B moves. He COOKS people and items and turns them into soup then items. Fox is good and everything you said is RIGHT ON!! but I'm sorry... Kirby will ALWAYS be the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to have to try Brawl. I missed the GC version entirely. Everyone is so emphatic about how great it is. The on game I am really looking forward to this year (for the Wii, anyway) is Wii Love Golf. I was a huge fan of the original Hot Shots Golf for the PS, and this is by the same developers. Even though the real world game of golf holds no interest for me, arcadey golf games on a console are among my favs. Go figure..

There is only 1 problem with brawl (it was the same on Melee) Kirby turns into multiple things instead of just the brick!!!!!!!!!!! The original Super Smash Bros. 64 was better for Kirby. Besides that Brawl is the dominant game.

Yeah, Kirby's inconstant metamorphosis bothers me too. As far as I know, it doesn't much matter what he turns into--a spiky ball hurts just as much as, if not more than, a brick to the face--but it's still a bit irritating. The fact that he can jump so many times makes up for it though.

I love Super Smash Brawl better than Melee because of the custom stages part. It blows replay value off the charts. I got tired of the same character and stages on Melee after a while, but on Brawl stages keep on coming. It's great.
